Cybersecurity software company with its regional headquarters in Singapore, 30 direct sellers and 8 partner managers covering South-East Asia and Australia. About 35% of bookings now come through resellers, and that share is growing.
At present the territory rep gets full quota credit on anything sold in their territory, whether they touched it or not. The partner managers are paid on total partner bookings. Some reps are at 120% of quota largely on deals a reseller brought in and closed.
We are considering a reduced credit, perhaps 50%, on deals registered by a partner with no direct involvement. My concern is that reps will then discourage partners. How do others draw the line?
