The pay transparency section was last revised in 2022, and it shows. It runs to nine pages, of which seven deal with United States state-level posting requirements and two with everything else. The exam items drawn from it have the same imbalance: 14 of 18 are US-specific.
I have volunteered to lead the rewrite. I propose restructuring around principles first, namely range setting, disclosure to candidates and employees, gap reporting and the right to information, with jurisdictions as illustrations. I need two people to review the draft, ideally one from Europe and one from Asia Pacific. First draft by the 30th, comments within three weeks.

I will take the European review. One request on structure: please treat equal value as a principle of its own and not as a subsection of gap reporting. In my experience it is the idea that candidates trained in the US tradition find hardest, and it underpins most of what the Directive asks of employers as I understand it.

Agree with principles first, and I would go further on the exam items. Items that test recall of a specific jurisdiction's rule go out of date the moment the rule changes, and two of the current 18 already describe requirements that have since been amended. I suggest we retire all recall items and write scenario questions instead.
