Retail frontline pay: where is the market?

We are at 16.00 and holding, which probably tells you we are behind. What we changed was the progression: 50 cents at 90 days and another 50 at one year, automatic. Ninety-day turnover dropped from 48 to 39 percent. The starting rate gets them in the door, but the early steps seem to be what keeps them.

Do check the city minimum wage schedules for Minneapolis and St Paul before you set a metro rate, since as I understand it they are adjusted each year and differ from the state figure. We set one metro rate comfortably above both to avoid separate rates for stores a few miles apart. Your counsel will know the current numbers better than I do.

Fulfilment roles are a different market from store roles in my experience, and pricing them together was our mistake. Our fulfilment centre in the north metro starts at 19.75 with a 2 dollar night differential, and we still compete with parcel carriers every peak season. Are you seeing the applicant drop in both, or mainly in stores?
